- RiverFlow Analyzer Tool: A brand-new RiverFlow Analyzer tool has been added, designed to evaluate flow behavior and hydraulic characteristics along river channels efficiently.
- Road Closure Analysis Dashboard: A link to Road Closure Analysis Dashboard has been added, based on research by Maghsoodifar et al. (2025), Coastal Hydrology Lab, The University of Alabama. This dashboard helps assess potential road closures during flood events, providing valuable insight for flood management and planning.
- 2D Simulation Setup Enhancement: Boundary cells for 2D simulation areas are now highlighted visually during setup, making it easier to verify model boundaries before running simulations.
- Streamline Extractor Update: A new extraction method — Main Stream — has been added to the Streamline Extractor tool, enabling more accurate identification and extraction of primary flow paths.
- Smooth Poly Added: A new Smooth Poly tool has been introduced, allowing users to make their polylines and polygons smoother, more natural shapes for hydrologic and terrain analyses.

- STE Downloader: a built-in tool that automatically downloads and installs the latest version of STE — making updates easier, faster, and fully automated.
- Return Period Analyzer: A powerful new flood frequency analysis tool has been added to STEGIS. The Return Period Analyzer can compute the return period of flow discharge, precipitation, water surface elevation, and more using methods such as Gumbel, Log-Pearson Type III, and GEV L-Moments.
- Raster Calculator: A fast, independent, and reliable Raster Calculator has been added to STEGIS. Users can now create new rasters or perform mathematical operations between rasters using custom equations
- Elevation Harmonizer: The synchronization feature from the Merge Rasters tool has evolved into a standalone, intelligent tool. The Elevation Harmonizer automatically adjusts DEM elevations to ensure seamless transitions at synchronization points.
- Real-Time Watershed Delineator Enhancements: New options have been added to the Real-Time Watershed Delineator, making it faster, more accurate, and highly customizable for diverse hydrologic analyses.
- Stage–Area–Volume Relation Extractor Enhancement: Selecting elevations in the Stage–Area–Volume Relation table now displays the corresponding water extent on the map in real time

- Non-Newtonian Rheology (Mud & Debris Modeling): STE’s 2D Simulator now supports Bingham rheology for Non-Newtonian flow modeling, enabling mudflow and debris-flow simulations. The 2D Sediment Module (Movable Bed) is fully integrated with Non-Newtonian modeling. Future updates will add more rheology types and enhanced accuracy for finer sediment particles.
- Built-in Help Access: A help icon and buttons have been added to forms with existing documentation. Pressing F1 now opens the relevant documentation page, streamlining the learning process.
- Optimized Server Connectivity: Connection to STE servers has been optimized for more reliable and responsive performance.
- UI and Code Optimization: User interface responsiveness has been improved, and underlying code has been optimized for a smoother overall experience.
- No Administrator Privileges Needed for STE TileServer: Map tiles are now displayed without requiring administrator rights, making installation and usage smoother for all users.

- Terrain Texture Downloader is Back!: The Terrain Texture Downloader tool has been reintroduced, allowing users to easily fetch and apply high-quality terrain textures for enhanced 3D visualization.
- STEGeo3D Water Surface Textures: STEGeo3D now supports textured water surfaces. Users can overlay Flow Velocity, Flow Depth, Flow Discharge, and Total Sediment Load maps directly onto the water surface for an immersive 3D analysis experience.
- Rain Statistics GEE Script Writer: A new tool that automatically writes Google Earth Engine (GEE) scripts to derive rainfall statistics over a chosen AOI using multiple datasets.
- Precipitation GEE Script Writer: A dedicated tool for writing GEE scripts to download gridded precipitation rasters from datasets such as IMERG v07 and ERA5-Land.
- Optimized Precipitation Extraction: The process of extracting gridded precipitation rasters from NetCDF and GeoTIFF bands has been significantly optimized for faster and more reliable performance.
- Semi-Implicit Lost Volume Controller: A new semi-implicit algorithm has been added to improve numerical stability and accuracy in flood simulations involving lost volume computations.

- Sediment Module Improvements : Significant code optimizations have been implemented in the Sediment Module. As a result, 2D movable bed simulations now run much faster than before, greatly improving performance and efficiency.
- Added support for Implicit Diffusion Wave Solver. Currently, it handles only internal boundary conditions. Full functionality will be available in an upcoming update.
- Development of the 1D Computation Module for STEGIS has begun in this version. This marks the first step toward integrated 1D hydrologic and hydraulic analysis within STEGIS.
