Release Notes
- STE v7.0.1 Beta
- STE v6.99.1 Beta
- STE v6.98.5 Beta
- STE v6.98.4 Beta
Released: July 14, 2025 | Size: ~188 MB | Windows 64-bit (Public Release)
- Bug fixes and improvements
- Sediment Module Improvements : Significant code optimizations have been implemented in the Sediment Module. As a result, 2D movable bed simulations now run much faster than before, greatly improving performance and efficiency.
- Added support for Implicit Diffusion Wave Solver. Currently, it handles only internal boundary conditions. Full functionality will be available in an upcoming update.
- Development of the 1D Computation Module for STEGIS has begun in this version. This marks the first step toward integrated 1D hydrologic and hydraulic analysis within STEGIS.
Released: July 01, 2025 | Size: ~188 MB | Windows 64-bit (Early access for subscribers)
- Bug fixes and improvements
- Added a new sediment transport configuration allowing transport rates per size fraction (sediment class) to be calculated with distinct formula sets.
- Revamped sediment module: faster simulations and improved flexibility for complex flow scenarios.
- Sediment concentration output now available in postprocessor results
- Added a new "Engrave on Raster" tool that allows users to write text or embed images directly onto raster layers.
Released: June 18, 2025 | Size: ~188 MB | Windows 64-bit
- Bug fixes and improvements
- Plot time-series tool now exports flow discharge accumulations and total sediment load accumulations.
- Implemented a maximum Froude number limit to reduce volume loss and improve the accuracy of simulation results.
- Added a new implicit volume loss controller to the simulator to improve stability and accuracy in challenging scenarios.
- New CPU optimization controls: toggle single/multi-core mode and set max parallel threads.
Released: June 12, 2025 | Size: ~178 MB | Windows 64-bit
- Bug fixes and improvements
- Added a computational cost estimator to the simulator to inform users about the expected intensity and resource demand of their simulations.
- Added a Bing Map Downloader tool for retrieving high-resolution map imagery, and updated STEGeo3D to support textured surfaces for enhanced 3D visualization.
- Added tools for converting shapefiles and rasters into Manning’s n regions, streamlining the setup of spatially variable roughness.
- Added a real-time watershed delineator to help users quickly analyze and understand new study areas with minimal setup.
